All this week we've spent our evenings at Fellowship Church Adventure Week. Thursday was day 4. As we were waiting for the big show to start, Nicholas said he wanted his picture taken with the police officer. Nicholas walked up to him and introduced himself and asked if the officer wanted to take a picture with him. The man was so sweet to Nicholas and gladly went along with the request. Nicholas was so excited to have his picture taken with a police officer. The officer even remembered us the next night and went out of his way to say "hi" to Nicholas.
Nicholas got some more experience and training on Daddy's camera :)
Friday night wrapped up Adventure Week with Family Fun Night. We got to have dinner with Daddy before he had to go to rehearsal.
After dinner, we were sad to see Daddy go...but we had a blast even if he wasn't there (Sorry, Daddy!). Nicholas and I started off watching the Boz the Bear show. If you haven't seen Boz before, I'd say he is like Barney but he's a green bear and has a Christian theme. At the show we were given a Boz coloring book, hat, and CD. Nicholas enjoyed singing along and dancing in the aisles while wearing his Boz hat.
We saw Bruce Chadwick, Illusionist. He was a great performer and Nicholas seemed impressed by some of the tricks. However, Nicholas was also having fun playing with the little boy sitting in front of him so he really didn't watch the whole show. Mommy had a good time though.
Next we went outside to watch the BMX stunt show performed by the United Freestyle Stunt Team. Nicholas was just amazed at the stunts performed!
Next, Nicholas played in some bounce houses and an inflatable obstacle course. The other boy who was going through the obstacle course at the same time was much older than Nicholas but he wanted Nicholas to win so he faked having trouble getting through the course and let Nicholas win.
Next we watched a group called "Splat!" which is kind of like the Blue Man Group. Then we went into the main assembly for the finale of "The Clash for Courage Kingdom". Before the show starts, the camera operators always catch the kids as they are walking in and getting their seats. The kids are so cute because they are always laughing and jumping around with excitement before the show. The video is then projected on the big IMAG screens for everyone to see. The kids love watching themselves on the 14' x 25' screens and if you look closely at the camera operators, you'll notice that they always have big smiles on their faces too. Nicholas was up on the big screens twice this week and he loved it. His eyes would light up and he started waving like crazy at the camera. It was so much fun!
