Nicholas was too busy this morning playing pirate to get dressed. I picked out some clothes for him and asked him to hurry up and get dressed because we were meeting our friends at Studio Movie Grill to watch Pippi Longstocking. Nicholas quickly put on the shorts then he paused and asked, "Have I worn this shirt before? It's pink. I don't want to wear a pink shirt. I can't wear that! I would silly in a girl color! I can wear a shirt that is red, or green, or blue, or brown, or striped, but NOT PINK!"
Granted, I would not have picked out and purchased a pink shirt for him. A friend gave it to him. I think it is a nice shirt and not feminine looking. He's worn it in the past without complaints but I guess my little pirate is more concerned about what he wears now. I guess the brown shirt does look a little better on this scary pirate.
