Frozen Toys!

We have been learning about the different stages of water: gas, solid, liquid. I took a bunch of Nicholas' little toys and put them in a plastic container filled with water and then froze it. Nicholas loved seeing the giant block of ice with all of his frozen toys in it.





Nicholas especially enjoyed licking his giant block of ice!



We enjoyed watching the ice slowly melt. It took all day to completely melt and it was fun watching the toys slowly fall out throughout the day! We are going to repeat the experiment with two blocks of ice - one which we will keep inside and another one that will be outside so we can time them to see which one melts first.
