In the morning when I take Nicholas to school, we wait in the "car line". School opens at 8:15 and cars start lining up a little before that to drop off their little ones. Nicholas loves waiting in the car line. Since we are just sitting there in the parking lot, I let him out of his car seat. He loves to climb all over the car and readjust everything for me - the rear view mirror, the visors, the air conditioning, the radio...anything within his reach gets touched and "fixed" for me. It's not like he hasn't been able to play in the car before at home. He's seen all of this stuff before. But for some reason it's more exciting as we are waiting in the car line. Of course, as soon as he's out of the car, I have to spend a few minutes putting everything back the way it was...until tomorrow morning when we do it all over again.
