Here Comes Peter Cottontail

Today we started the day off with a fundraiser for our PTA group. We got all you can eat pancakes at McDonald's and the PTA got a percentage back from our tickets. Nicholas slept late so we barely had time to eat and play a little before it was time to head over to the park for our PTA Easter Egg Hunt.

What a great time we had at the park. The weather was beautiful! Nicholas loved running and playing before the egg hunt.

















When it was time for the egg hunt, he was ready. We had talked some about last year's egg hunt. Last year he was so excited to have a few eggs in his basket that after picking up just two eggs, he insisted on stopping and opening them and eating whatever delicious treat was inside. Meanwhile, all of his friends were running around collecting as many eggs as possible. He was able to pick up a few more eggs but he was definitely short on eggs when it was all said and done. I told him this morning that it was up to him how he handled it. He could just get a few eggs and enjoy them right there or he could focus on just picking up eggs and then opening them after the hunt. He chose to focus on the egg hunt. He did great and had a lot of fun picking up as many eggs as he could.













After the egg hunt, we got to meet the Easter Bunny and eat an ice cream cone. It couldn't have been more fun!
