Around noon today we started getting some icy rain. By the time I left to pick Nicholas up from preschool, it had turned into big chunky snowflakes. Nicholas was so excited to see it snow again because he has been praying for it to snow again since Tuesday. It was the big chunky snowflakes again and they continued to fall for four hours or so. I think we ended up with a total of 3 inches of snow.
Here are Nicholas and Stuart making snow angels. Stuart didn't realize just how wet and cold he would get by doing this! We obviously have no idea how to dress for snow. BRRRRR!!!
As always, Nicholas spent a lot of just eating the snow. We don't encourage this and constantly tell him to stop eating the snow because it is dirtier than it looks. But alas, I've about given up. Nicholas told his teacher the other day that his favorite food is snow. What's a mom to do? Here are some highlights of his snow sampling today:
Taking a bite from the snow on top of his toy box....
Eating it right out of the air...
Licking it off of his playset...
Scooping it off of his playset and eating it...
Licking it off of his toybox...
And just scooping it off the ground...
Our neighbor, Kimberly, came over and helped us build a snow man. He is our little beach bum snow man complete with ukelele! And what looks like 2 Rescue Heroes at his feet? Where did those come from I wonder?
We love the snow. We only get it a couple of times a year so we have to play in it all day when we get the opportunity. However, we're from south Louisiana and we just aren't used to snow like this so a couple of times a year is enough for us.
